As always, Apple has outdone itself with the design of the new iPhone 4 - standing out not only from other manufacturer's smartphones, but from its own iPhone 3GS as well. The iPhone4 boasts a ultra-slim design that delivers nearly 25% less bulk and a greater hand-held experience at a full 3 mm thinner than its 3GS predecessor, which was 12.3 mm deep. Apple even managed to reduce the side to side dimensions to 59m -62 mm, though the iPhone 4's weight remains unchanged at 136 grams.

Apple has recently released their iPhone 4, and even before its release it created quite a buzz through the technology industry. The iPhone 4 features a super slim design that blows away its current phone contemporaries. The iPhone 4 is about 9 millimeters in width, which makes it 3 millimeters smaller than its older sibling, the iPhone 3GS. This is a 24% reduction in size. The iPhone 4 is also less wide than the iPhone 3GS, making it perfect to stow anywhere and less clumsy to hold. The iPhone 4 still weighs in at 136 grams, but because of its slimmer and sleeker design, it is a must have for just about everyone.

The marvel of improvements do not stop with the exterior appearance either. In fact, the technological improvements that Apple made on the inside of iPhone 4 are the true highlights of their new smartphone. Apple has released the best resolution on a phone with its new iPhone 4 with an astonishing 326 pixels per inch. The screen size remains the same as the 3GS at 3.5 inches, but Apple packs in an incredibly sharp 960 x 640 pixel, IPS display.

The IPS (in-plane switching) display utilizes the same practice as found on Apple's iPads and iMacs, which boasts several display advantages over the average display screen. It delivers a rich and lively display with an incredibly wide viewing angle - providing a vibrant display regardless of your position from the screen. In fact, their display has such intense clarity and sharpness, it has been dubbed the "Retina" display, because the human retina actually reads less pixels than their screen's display output.

Apple employed its A4 CPU as the brain for the iPhone4 - the same one found in the iPad. By coupling it with the iOS 4 operating system, the iPhone 4 is able to deliver a wide range of new functions for the user. While users have long awaited multi-tasking ability, they will not be disappointed with the new capabilities of the powerful new iPhone. Just as Apple took its time in perfecting the copy and paste features before release, Apple has created a well-oiled multi-tasking phone that will not plague the user with constant lagging or freezing.

The iPhone 4 leaves nothing to be desired. Apple took the time to consider what people are doing with their cell phones nowadays and even added in technological advancements to their video and camera capabilities. The internal camera now features a whopping 5 megapixel camera. This is 2 megapixels more than their previous phones. There is also an LED flash, 5x zoom option and a sensor that intuitively notices when a picture needs to be back-lit. You are also given HD quality video thanks to the fast processing inside the iPhone 4. And Apple has also integrated features into their video formatting formally only available in the camera function such as tap-to-focus which allows for even better video taking. The Apple iPhone 4 is everything you have wanted and been waiting for in a smart, stylish and sleek package.
